Regardless of what class / certification to embark upon, RMPG highly recommend you purchase or review all applicable NFPA publications to study prior to attending any of our classes. FYI all NFPA publications are available for free viewing on their website: https://www.nfpa.org Please note, the applicable NFPA publications that are relevant to individual state or municipality are entirely specific to each location. It is your responsibility to determine which codes and standards are in effect for your location. Review of applicable NFPA publication will greatly improve your likelihood of exam success.

1127 - Code for High Power Rocketry
This code provides requirements for safe operation of high power rockets to protect the user and the public from associated hazards that could cause deaths and injuries. Application includes use in conjunction with education, recreation, and sporting competition.

1126 - Standard for the Use of Pyrotechnics Before a Proximate Audience
This standard provides requirements for the safe use of pyrotechnic special effects before a proximate audience at both indoor and outdoor locations to protect property, operators, performers, support personnel, and viewing audiences. Application includes use in conjunction with theatrical, musical, or similar performing arts productions in theaters, stadiums, concert halls, etc.

1125 Code for the Manufacture of Model Rocket and High-Power Rocket Motors
This code provides requirements for safety in the manufacture of model and high power rocket motors, and ensures reliability of rocket motors and motor-reloading kits and their components.

1124 - Code for the Manufacture, Transportation, and Storage of Fireworks and Pyrotechnic Articles
This code establishes fire and life safety requirements for the manufacture, transportation, and storage of fireworks, pyrotechnic articles, and any components containing pyrotechnic or explosive compositions. It does not apply to the retail sales, associated storage or the use of consumer fireworks by the general public.

1123 - Code for Fireworks Display
This code contains information on how to set up and operate professional outdoor fireworks displays in order to prevent injuries to both the workers handling the fireworks and to the viewing audience, as well as to prevent fires that could cause property damage.

1122 - Code for Model Rocketry
This code advances safety through requirements for the design, construction, limitation of propellant mass and power, and reliability of model rocket motors and model rocket motor reloading kits and their components, produced commercially and for use by the public for purposes of education, recreation, and sporting competition.

160 - Standard for the Use of Flame Effects Before an Audience
This standard provides public safety officials, designers, performers and operators of flame effects with the latest requirements for the protection of the audience, support personnel, performers, the operator, assistants, and property where flame effects are used.

140 - Standard on Motion Picture and Television Production Studio Soundstages, Approved Production Facilities, and Production Locations
NFPA 140 covers fire protection, property protection, and life safety in motion picture and television industry soundstages, approved production facilities, and production locations.

101 - Life Safety Code®
The Life Safety Code is the most widely used source for strategies to protect people based on building construction, protection, and occupancy features that minimize the effects of fire and related hazards. Unique in the field, it is the only document that covers life safety in both new and existing structures.

87 - Standard for Fluid Heaters
This standard provides safety guidance for fluid heaters and related equipment to minimize fire and explosion hazards that can endanger the fluid heater, the building, or personnel.

72 - National Fire Alarm and Signaling Code®
NFPA 72 provides the latest safety provisions to meet society's changing fire detection, signaling, and emergency communications demands. In addition to the core focus on fire alarm systems, the Code includes requirements for mass notification systems used for weather emergencies; terrorist events; biological, chemical, and nuclear emergencies; and other threats.

70 - National Electrical Code®
Enforced in all 50 states, NFPA 70, National Electrical Code (NEC) is the benchmark for safe electrical design, installation, and inspection to protect people and property from electrical hazards.

67 - Recommended Practice on Explosion Protection for Gaseous Mixtures in Piping Systems
This guide provides criteria for the design, installation, and operation of piping systems that contain or may contain flammable vapor mixtures to prevent and protect against damage from deflagrations or detonations due to combustion of flammable atmospheres therein.

58 - Liquefied Petroleum Gas Code
The industry benchmark for safe LP-Gas storage, handling, transportation, and use, NFPA 58 mitigates risks and ensures safe installations, to prevent failures, leaks, and tampering that could lead to fires and explosions.

54 - National Fuel Gas Code
NFPA 54, ANSI Z223.1 provides minimum safety requirements for the design and installation of fuel gas piping systems in homes and other buildings.
